The Torture of Living in campus

Its only three days since the start of the new semester and already I'm having doubt of whether i should be living in campus.its not that i have very high standards on where i want to call my temporary settlement but i think i deserve a rather comfortable place to stay.the problem with some or all of the student hostels here in UIA is that they are not very well designed.I'm not just talking about the rooms but the whole student living quarters including roads, toilets, cafes, access and location.

The rooms is what I'm most frustrated about and sometimes you just have to wonder when looking at the rooms at some of the Mahallah, especially in Saffiyah and Zubair, is whether these people really think that students would be comfortable living on a room that has a "double-Decker" style bed with a bed upstairs and a long "study"table downstairs. what i was thinking was that maybe somebody thought it would be a good idea to put a bed below a table and certainly it would save some space. It turned out to be the worst design and also an ongoing frustration because all I've seen other students doing is putting their mattresses on the floor.it tells you that students would rather sleep on the floor than climbing up stairs just to sleep.some even sacrifice of not having a study table by laying their mattresses on the study table.another stupid idea is to install those wall-mounted fans that feels like a small kid blowing air at you. i just wanna knock some sense into these people but I'm too busy for all these "extra" activities so I'll guess in one of these day I'll just hire a thug to do those kind of things.

we better not say anything about the toilets at the mahallah or else i would start doing book signings soon. the road is something that annoys me since I've stepped my foot at this campus but i wouldn't know what it feels for the driver but all i can say to UIA is that" stop trying to be a put several themes into your university because you are just embarrassing yourself. the roads at the mahallah area are similar to what you would see in old cities in most European countries.now i maybe wrong but I'm sure that putting bricks instead of tar for your roadway is not a choice but a desperate measure because at that time there wasn't any tar to use for roads.so since the roads are replaced by layered bricks, its certainly would qualify to be called a bumpy ride.

I'm so tired right now so I'll guess I'll continue in another time..

adios!

Do you really know what you are saying?

Words can show how well your understanding on that subject.I've just finished watching a 10-minute documentary titled "Submission" directed by Van Gogh(who was murdered for this documentary by a radical Muslim). It was a documentary showing violence against women in Islam.by the end of the documentary,i began to think that these people certainly talk while putting their brains on the side. What i don't understand is why people always demean other religion with looking into people's actions only?i mean if there is a murderer among human beings, does it mean that all of us are murderers?if some of us are vegetarians are all the people of the world are vegetarians?

the same applies to the fact that if someone preaches about hate and being an extremist,it does not constitute or represent the whole Muslim community as radicals or people who are hungry for non-Muslim bloods.the reason why atheist are really dangerous is because they defend emotional issues as well and project it as one of the doctrines or rules of the religion.what i mean is that, referring to the documentary is that they are just looking into the literal meaning of the Holy Quran and that is what saddens Muslims. The Holy Quran is not just to be read literally but to ponder on it.For example, the command to beat our spouse if she disobeys us is not to hit her with a wood but only with a soft or delicate manner. Why is it always targeted towards Islam?f we say that the Bible promotes lewdness would anyone believe?i don't think so just because christian radicals are not depicted in the media as "famous" as Muslim radicals.what saddens me the most is that not only do Muslims become insane because of this(referring to the hate preach) they do not see the bigger picture which is that we really pity those who are stupid to think that any religion would allow something like abuse and hate to be their fundamentals.we pity them because they are not intelligent enough to be called humans that can think logically and straight.we do pity them that they can be so ignorant of the fact that nothing good can come out of doing what they are doing.

coming to the topic of spousal abuse in EVERY household, its not because of religion, nor is it because of any other factor other than culture and temper.the reason why i included culture is because you can always find spousal abuse anywhere in the world.i might be wrong in saying this but what i think the Arabs are quite rough when it comes to spouses.so it comes with no surprise that Arabs can sometimes be more passionate in everything they do and also can be angered easily.as for temper,we all know that one time, a person can be so loving and so romantic but on another time, they can be brutal and without feeling.so my advice to all of you out there is to know people better before going to the next step.people can be deceiving at times and you really don't want to be regretful on who you end up with.

lastly,I'm going to say something about women abuse(including rape by relatives as it was touched by the documentary) and what i think about it is that humans, especially men,can be animals at times(or even lower) so you cannot trust anyone you are close with and please do take care on who you are close to..

i don't want to be too serious about this so I'll end this post with a joke.here it goes..

A guy is sitting at home when he hears a knock at the door. He opens the door and sees a snail on the porch. He picks up the snail and throws it as far as he can. Three years later, there’s a knock on the door. He opens it and sees the same snail. The snail says "What the hell was that all about?"

we support you..but who are you again?

Its funny how people really are in this world.sometimes you just have to laugh at what people say instead of thinking"whaaaat?"a really funny incident happened the other day which, although i was not there,i could still imagine what the conversation would feel like if i was there.i have a wild imagination(its true..ask anyone who knows me)so if i hear a story i cant help but imagine the scenario of being there.

so the story is that, last Saturday i was out wif a friend to buy presents for another friend and after we finished "menyopping" for presents, we had to take separate cabs because we were going to different directions.so later that night,BL told a hilarious story that happened in the taxi cab and as far as i can recall, the taxi driver saw me standing with BL and automatically thought that we were a couple and started asking all these wild questions and advises on relationship, and marriage and..wait for it..KIDS. I'm not sure that all of the topics of early marriage or having kids and family planning was part of a taxi driver's handbook of "topics to discuss with passengers",but I'm thinking that maybe they should erase those topics..

Another thing that really sets me on a laughing rampage is that one of his advice to .the advice was on the early marriage and what the taxi driver said was that if BL was to consider an early marriage,he was going to "Support" BL..not hold on that for a second, how many minutes has he known BL again? when i heard this i couldn't stop laughing and this is what boggles me,the fact that strangers giving advices as though they know us for years and somehow related to us.i wantedto get mad but i couldnt, the way the driver said was just so funny that i cant even think for one second that i would be mad.i know that we must take advice from the elderly but advice on early marriage? that can sometimes be counted as being an "uncomfortable" situation and i feel pity to BL for being there..the problem is that we are young and so much time on our hands..but to be honest, what i think was going through the taxi driver's mind was that he encourages people to get married early because it did him good, but what i would like to think is that people get married when they think that its the best time to get married..and as for an early marriage, there's no restrictions on the age of marriage, its not like you can jump from being 21 to being 30,you get married when you feel like you are ready and that's just my point of view.
i would really like to ride a cab with this 'pakcik' once in a while just to have an advisor when i feel bored in a cab..you may never know when you need one and i think that being a marriage advisor is more suitable for him that being a taxi driver..

From a man's point of view

Its a well known fact for us men that when a girl with good looks passes by we drool instantly.that may not be a secret anymore for women that us men look for looks rather than personality.I'm not saying that a woman wouldn't go for an attractive guy.when u say that men always go for looks rather than personality,I'm a bit confused not because i don't believe that a guy wont go for looks if he meets a girl as beautiful as an angel(I'm refraining from referring to celebrities coz for me they are just fairy tales;p)

the fact is that men are always attracted to beauty.in fact every human is attracted to beauty.the difference is that some people put beauty first and when they say that even for me,i cant seem to agree with that.if you wanna ask me,beauty is overrated,i mean when you look at something beautiful, you become attracted to it but its not the only thing you want to look at.i disagree to some point when a guy says that men always go for looks when it comes to girls. well its true that men look at beauty as a characteristic but not all the time.

if you really know me,I'm quite actually a quiet person(well seems to be) i let people approach me just for the reason that, not because i don't want to make friends, when i come to think about it,it seems that i like a person who wants to make Friends(even though I'm not one to initiate a conversation) but if you really look at it,if a person wants to make friends it shows that he/she is easy to talk to.so if its an angel that comes to me and starts a conversation with me,I'll be grateful that she's beautiful, other than that..its a subplot.

so what if it comes to meeting a girl,do i go for looks? usually i let my heart decide, not my eyes..maybe coz i always thought that eyes are sometimes decieving but hey, thats just me.

so you "men" out there,i encourage you to change your perception on beauty.when you talk about love, the heart is the one who feels the whole thing and not the eyes..i'll leave it for you to ponder on it..

Beardd out..:)

ordinary people

When someone starts to care about you..what do you do?even before this you havent "tasted" the feeling of being cared for even once in a life.not in a way this one person cares about you.and then even after all the trouble of caring about you,it doesnt get appreciated much by yourself.i understand that that must hurt a lot even more when its truly sincere.
this happened to me about moments ago.if you know me you would know that i am a really forgetul person and especially the little things that i ought to do or should do,i rarely remember unless i get reminded always.for example, my mother asked me to go to the high commission to ask for an extension on an application so i keep forgetting it and the only thing that can make me remember? is if a person forces it into my head and only by that way i could remember.

From when i was little people always said that i was clumsy and now i can see why.if my forgetullness does not hurt anyone im okay wiht it.its when it involves me forgetting something that hurts someone that i start to feel like a real a**hole and i start to think about stupid things. So people can always get hurt when they're around me just because of something that i cant control, maybe im better off without friends so that i never hurt anyone..but that would be a long shot nonetheless,i have thought about it.

i always think about everyting going wrong as my fauld and its always true.the fact is that i didnt mean to hurt anyone but i cant do anything about it other than say sorry but still sorry can't change anything but i just wanted to be there and beg for your forgiveness and cry..yes i said that i would cry.but the fact is that i cant because its not the right thing to do.that would mean that i stole your forgiveness.the only thing to to is wait.wait that somehow you would find the heart to forgive me just a litte.BL

You're one in a million

if you know me you should also know that i am a curious person.i like to know whats going on around me even if its not my business to know.you could say that i'm a busybody but i wouldn't call me that just because i don't want to know everything thats going on around me..just the things that i ought to know.so when it comes to certain phrases such as "you're a star"and such,it always inrigues me to find out why do people say those kind of things, its not that i want to condemn it,its just that for me ts good to know whats true and whats not.for example you cant talk to me symbolically becasue i tend to ask too many questions if a person does that( BL,you're one of them :p)

so coming back to the title, the expression "one in a million" is somewhat not so flattering praise if you ask me.why? because this worlds population is close to 700 million and if you are one in a million, then you are part of the other 699 million people in this world..not feeling that special anymore are you? but don't kill yourself just yet.you see, expression like these, even though in reality it does not mean that much(in fact it doesnt mean anything at all) is just referring to the fact that you are hardto find.someone like you is rare, like a really good watch or anyting( i cant think of anything more special that a really good watch,my brain is not functioning that well early in the morning, eventhough its already 10.15)

so you see,a person that is hard to find is usually a person that is really great.so i would just like to say that BL, you are one in a million..

Smooth Talker

i've never been known to be a smooth talker but i do know some things that makes a person a smooth talker.i sometimes avert from these kind of topics but something did enregize me to do so..so here it goes.a smooth talker is not someone who talks while holdng something smooth, its more of someone who talks softly without sounding like he/she has novoice.its pleasent to the ears and at times hard to hear.i've been called a talker before but ain't nothing smooth about it.from what i've noticed is that its not the way you say the words that make you a smooth talker.it cant be taught nor can it be forced to be one.

for me, a smooth talker is a smooth person, not one with a dualistic nature if you know what i mean.its someone who has a side of gentleness in him/her that makes him/her a smooth talker or it might be someone who is so sleepy that he/she mumbles a lot.the conclusion for me is that if someone wants to be a smooth talker its not to alter your way of talking, its about your mentality while talking.it might sound complicated to some but thats the truth.you cant be a smooth talker all the time,it has its own time of when to be a smooth talker.for example if you're talking to your parents, you cant be smooth, you talk with respect.but if you are talking to someone your friends, you talk with ease/non-formal.so when do actually talk smoothly?its when you want to go to sleep and you want to sound like you are ready to go to sleep but not just yet..if you get what i mean than please do explain it to me coz that last sentence just sounds mumbo-jumbo to me.Or..its with your loved ones especially your better half.

just a piece of advice,if you really want to learn to talk smooth, learn from a spainard or a portugese or any other latin country.

adios amigos

Where's my picture?

Its the end of the month, and today just became a little bit more special because a friend had her birthday. There was a surprise birthday party held for her today and as usual,i was the "official' photographer. Not that I'm complaining of having to take pictures in an event where i should be relaxing,i mean I'm honored just to be invited.but as i was just "touching-up" the pictures i realized that there isn't that many pictures of me in them.i mean its like i was not there. This what got me thinking..is it just me or is it the photographer cardinal rule of "take pictures but do not get your pictures taken" because it really seems like it.

I'm not just complaining( maybe I'm not even complaining) about not having that many pictures to show of my "involvement' in certain events,it does take the enthusiasm of being a photographer.take the Toshihiko Izutsu conference for example,i took hundreds of pictures of different people in different situations and most of them are beautiful(not intended to flatter myself) but when i look back,i had this thought that just maybe, maybe i shouldn't have bought along my Canon for that event purely because i wanted people to take pictures of me instead of the usual way.

its not that I'm beginning to hate photography, its just that no one ever pointed that out to me,that you can rarely see a photographer getting his picture taken and when it does, from a photographer point of view, that ( well i might be exaggerating a bit but what the hell) us photographers do exist in front of you.

but i think its not that big of a prolem to me because i get to take beautiful pictures of beauiful people( although i think that i could have been taking much more beautiful pictures but i'm too lazy to buy the necessary equipments)so until there is a day when get to project myself in a certain environment and still be capturing that moment,i'll have to settle of being the man behind the picture..

Arrivederci!

What Do You Do??

actually i already did this post a couple days ago but somehow things don't go your way so here I'm again rambling about the same thing.Tonight I'm going to talk about celebrities..do i hate them?no.Do i love them? not really.so whats my problem? let me tell you this.

A few days ago i was at KLCC just to clear my mind( actually i was bored out of my mind but clearing my mind sounds to me like I'm busy with something, which i wasn't) so while i was getting up the escalator,i saw a famous person by the name of Aizat( those who are die-hard fans of AF should be screaming their lungs out) i mean i heard about the guy before and I've heard some of his songs.so the problem is that i don't know what to do..i mean do i go up to him and ask for his autograph? if that is it then you're wrong because its not like i carry an autograph book or something that he could sign on with me all the time (its not like i have an autograph book anyways) well maybe i could have asked him to autograph my arm or my face but that would be a little,no,a lot crazy.

the problem remains that "normal" people sometimes act not in a way that they are supposed to be when they're around celebrities. these people always think that they can sometimes feel uncomfortable when being recognized when they're out somewhere. so for you celebrities or people who are thinking of being celebrities, here's a little insight from the "normal people":

Us normal people feel wrongly about invading your privacy but what can we do, you are the one who wanted to be famous so deal with it. i know some celebrities say that" i went into show business not because of the fame" reason but lets be realistic here, everyone loves a little fame once in a while. why don't you think about us normal people for a second, how do you think we feel if we bumped into you?i mean we have to act as though you're not famous but everyone in this world knows who you are.so how do we do that?we act out of ourselves and if somehow we cant bear it,we shyly ask for a picture and sometimes hold your hand(well most of us do)

if you think about it,"normal' people do suffer the most so what do you do? the question remains..

About A Girl

I just thought it will be interesting to do a double post for today since im finished with my mid-term exams (Wohooooo!!!).
The reason for the topic is not because im in love, nor is it because im overly romantic today.Just thought a special dedicated post would be appropriate to someone..My first time talking bout a girl and hopefully, wouldn't be my last ;)

This post is dedicated to BL.what can i say about BL? well, shes beautiful, smart, fun to be with and to talk with, shy but at the same time has her own 'devil'ish acts, strong(not in a muscular sense),loving, great smile and i could go on and on. So whats so special about her? i think that she has the kind of 'love' for precious things..When i mean precious things im not referring to diamonds( might be) or money, she has this love for keeping things that mean the most to her.Im terrible at judging people and explaining what people are but you cant go wrong with BL, i dont know about girls that much but what i admire about her the most is that she hesitates on throwing even the small things..Im not saying this as though that its a bad thing,it just shows how much care she has for things that, although it can be replaced, its harder for her to let go.

Before i got to know her,i just thought that she was a shy girl, always keeping things to herself(sounds familiar to me..except for the girl part) but after i got to warm up to her,i thought "she's kinda fun"..The thing is that she aspires to be better and wants to learn new things everytime.I might be shouted at by BL for saying all of this but maybe thats a good thing, lets me know that she still wants to keep things to herself. One thing that i feel sorry for her is that, she doesnt want people to carry the burden of her problems.A person can only hold it for so long that when it falls down, someone needs to be there to help her up.

so if she's so great, can we know who BL is? do you know who BL is? let me give you a clue, she's beautiful..thats all i can give you for now.so if you do see a beautiful girl walking around campus do wonder if she is the BL girl im talking about, although there an only be one BL girl... hehe

ciao!

the Beautiful meter

so BL asked me last nyt about being beautiful,i mean people think that dressing sexy is beautiful and attractive.but what what constitutes the definition of being 'beautiful'.you see,i dont see myself as being beautiful, cute or whatever( although i've talked to people in a playful manner) but in a realistic sense, you cannot e the judge of your own self.lets take plastic surgery for example,i mean those people who wanted to fix their noses, their mouths, their ears and such, they are seeing it from their own perspective.i mean Micheal Jackson might think that his face is a work of art but to other people, its just plain scary.

the problem now is not that beautiful people should say that they are ugly but the must have heard that someone else say that they are indedd an angel. so going back to the topic of dressing "beautiful", you dont ask yourself that if what you are wearing is really beautiful or not, thats for other people to see and i think there is no truth in "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". why? because human think the same way and if someone thinks that a baboon is beautiful, its not beautiful in his own eye,its just that his eyes are fixed to only seeing ugly things, thats why the least ugly thing i.e baboon is the most beautiful to him.

so how do you judge what is beautiful or not? do we need a meter or a scale for it,say a scale of 1 to 10 ? the answer is no.you cant differentiate between any beauty and each beauty has its own level, what i mean is that you cant say that the beauty of a person is same as the beauty of a picture.. what i meant is that each person is beautiful,if its not in the inside, its on the outside or both like BL is..;p

au revoir!

Respect For Our Better Half

Its not unusual for us men to complain about the women in our lives. the usual nagging of a husband is that" my wife wants me to do this,to do that" and so on.a boyfriend might not like if the girl dresses him,a son might not like what the mother says to him.let me open your eyes to a little bit of truth. When i say this, its not that i am implying that you should be a robot and do anything that is ordered.what i just want to say is respect women.

when i say respect the women,i don't mean that we should respect all women.like all humans, there are some that don't respect others or even respect themselves.a woman who doesn't respect others is when she acts indifferent as immature boys, one that talks with no barriers, those who think that they are as "one of the guys".i mean i do respect women but only to those who deserve to be respected. you ask "how do we know who deserves to be respected?" you just have to look at how they act and how they speak.if they respect you as a human being then they deserve to be respected.speaking from the point of view of Islam,i think when the prophet says that men ought to respect women,it does not mean that women should not respect men. respect is all about earning it.A pregnant woman,or a mother for example, should be respected because she has brought life into the world. but she takes drugs or beats her won children, should we still respect her? the answer is definitely a NO.you see if a mother beats her own children it means that she has no respect for the feelings and pain of her children and therefore doesn't deserve it.

as for a woman who does not respect herself,i would say that it would be in the context of being a wild child. i mean a a girl who does respect herself wouldn't even think of wearing a skirt that looks like an underwear.even if its all about the fashion, women need to have that sense of morality in them just to differentiate them from the men. fashion is one thing but even some animals do cover their body( only difference is that its natural for them) but why do human being like to be naked? i mean not literally but if they want to show off their legs, they might as well sell pictures of their legs.whats the point of wearing a short skirt anyway, for one it only makes you vulnerable to perverts, another thing is that it attract unwanted attention.why go through all of that?
so i would just like to say this from my own opinion, i respect women greatly for their tremendous effort of being able to bear the stupidity of men but some re not as bright as others.so for the women out there, you will find a decent guy only if you respect the guy or the guy respects you.lets say you meet a girl at a party and he offers you a drink..so what does that tell you? it might mean that he is trying to get you into bed sometime tonight.if that is what you call respect to women you need to dig yourself a grave right now.

what i can say to the guys is always be a gentleman when you are with the ladies and to the ladies, appreciate the gesture and please do dress appropriately because people can jump to conclusions about you just by looking at the way you dress

and with that,i bid you farewell..

Democracy in The Name of Terror

this must be one of the topics that someone like me doesn't talk about much.the reason is because that even though I'm taking my minor in Political Science, i consider today's politic not the one that i have learned, one that is all about the wishes of the people.today's politic is all about power, who has the power to control the people, who has the power to eliminate the other and power to silence the opposition.

specifically im referring to the goals of one of the Israeli Politicians. the world has been made to notice that Israel is going to have a general election,i don't know when and i don't want to know.i was watching the news the other day when i was at the library(yes i do go to the library once in a while) and there was news on one of the promises that the candidates made if he were elected on the tele. if you did catch up on the news you would have been familiar with the name Benjamin Netanyahu,he is one of the candidates contending to be the leader of the Zionist state. if i was not mistaken,if here were to be elected,he would "destroy Hamas".

now you might not think that for a person to be a leader of the people, does the people want a "terrorist"(in a sense that he would wage war in the name of democracy is logical) to rule the country? for me, this shows their extreme hatred not towards Hamas but to the people of Palestine.if you think about it, to topple the government(which is chosen by the people of Palestine) of a country is what i think happened during WWII.I'm not sure whether the USA still wants to support a country not because they want to please them but Obama needs to severe ties with Israel first if he wants to make a Change to the world. it doesn't matter if he goes to Cuba and kisses the president or Fidel Castro,it does not clean the slate to the Muslim world.

if US of America wants the respect of the Muslim world, they would have to severe ties with the Zionist state and abolish the image of America being BFF with Israel. if the reason for Muslims in America(which is around the range of 2.8 million) that voted for Obama is for him to make a change in this world, that is what he should do as a person who believes in the freedom of the people(in this sense, the freedom of the people of Palestine who is not affiliated with Hamas) i mean, since when does the state of Gaza belong to Israel that they can just limit their freedom??

one thing that i just realized is that when Israel reported the reason for their attack is that Hamas was attacking them then why do they have to invade Gaza? was the attack coming from Gaza? did women and children which initiated the attack? I'm being objective here and still i don't see a reason for them to invade Gaza in the first place because from what i heard is that Hamas was still attacking parts of Israel attacks even after they invaded Gaza. now everyone knows that the objective of going to war is to eliminate the enemy but have they?i don't think so

if you look through my blog, you would have noticed that i haven't talked about politics up until now.i just think that i have to get this out before the passion disappears.

to the next prime minister of Israel,i hope you can stop the nonsense about your reason for continuing your annhiliation of the people of Palestine.for the sake of the humanity( i dont know if you are from another planet where you invade countries for breakfast) its just utterly disgusting to see humans behave like animals who cannot control their desires.so please if you are a human being like us and also if you do have a heart(do you?) or a brain for that matter, think before you act.

i dont know if you havent heard that we are not monkeys anymore so start acting like a human being for God's sake!

thats all for my political rant,im not sure i wanna do this anymore(ranting about politics) so if you do want a piece of my political mind, just gimme a holla

p.s/ i meant to change the title but i keep on forgetting,if you think this is funny, its not..

Dreaming of United Road

i once had a dream that i would watch Manchester United play at Old Trafford. to say that is my ultimate dream would be really stupid. i watched them much of the last twenty years of my life have been wonderful.i wont get much into the details but you know what i mean. And if you havent heard yet but that dream would be pratially fulfilled.why? coz MUFC is coming to Malaysia!!!!!

Yes its true, they are coming here and yes im hyper excited. theres only one thing that seems to me is kinda bittersweet on some level.you see,im planning to visit my sisters in the UK this april(mudahan tah) so there is no doubt that i am gonna visit Old trafford and somehow by then, i would have accomplished my dream. so whats the point of going? its Old Trafford for gods sake!! its the ground where champions were crowned and full of history.so thats it,it seems that my dream is not actually to se the team play but its to visit old trafford.that doesnt mean that i would prefer the watch Lun Bawang FC play at old trafford.its like a complete package to see Manchester united play and also visit Old Trafford.

just for the sake of being a die-hard fan of the team,i memorised some of the songs( coz my brother kept singing it with his friends and i thought it was cool to join them, actually it is) such as United Road,Viva Ronaldo,Anderson,Glory2 Man United and such.so come july, i would be the fan that sings his heart out Viva Ronaldo,Viva Ronaldo,Viva Ronaldo,Running Down The WIng,Hear United Sing,Viva Ronaldo!!!!

i'll c u there!

Change is good

A good afternoon to you my fellow readers.

first of all, im thinking of changing my title to something more relevant to my postings coz as of late,i've been going for topics that are less funny and much more igniting in terms of curiosity.so now im thinking of a new name for the blog, the only problem is that i only can think of cheezy names and its rarely that i can come up with an ingenius name..so i'll just stick to the "cheezy"ness just to show the "real" me.as for the content,it might or might not be the same. Somethings are funnier when you dont see it so i'll try to see things that people do that are funny but yet goes unnoticed.

so keep watching this blog and prepare to laugh at my title( that's if i can come up with something)

later!

i miss childhood

Yello!

Islam in Brunei

Hey Guys!

funny thing happens everyday( well not everyday but you know what i mean)..so lately i've been on a blogging "high" so i was searching the net on something i could write on so i "stumbled' onto this article in The Daily Brunei Resources . It talks about the mysterious grave in the middle of Bandar( just beside TAIB).that is not what i am focusing at.what im curious is about is regarding the "punishment" where she was stoned to death according to the Islamic law. We've heard so many times that Islam came to this region around the 15th century. So not long after that, full Islamic law was initiated which makes us more proud of our country no? you would expect that during that time there would be no full implementation of the Islamic law/Syari'ah but there you go.

I know its still considered as myth because this is not been proven but the writing on the tombstone proves that Bruneians or whoever was there at that time, was adhering to the Islamic orders and made it the only law of the land.it does make me wonder whether the other countries of the SEA region did practice Islamic Law during its early years. If they did then it would still be impressive but if they weren't then it still ok becasue it just proves that Brunei was the first state to practice Islamic law in this region.

Although one of my lecturer did mention that Islam did came before the 15th century but he is still trying to prove it.Who knows, islam might have been spread to the SEA before it came to China..

adios amigos!

Buidling your arsenal

Hey,

do you ever wonder if adding something that you own is really a good thing? sorry for the confusion but honestly,i've been thinking bout it for a while now.since im a bowler and a photographer at the same time, both "hobbies" need certain upgrades for you to be satisfied by it.only after you have completed your arsenal, lets say your camera needs a good zoom lens,a good wide-angle lens and also for portraits.Your bowling needs are a ball which is better than the last one, a good bowling shoe, a bowling towel etc.

so now im confused or lets just say im torn between two things..you see i take pictures of things that are going on with my frens, families and such.i also bowl regularly so im not sure whether i should buy a new lens for my camera + a mounted flash, or should i buy a new bowling bag.let me break it down to you..

Bowling bag+spare ball=1400+
10-20mm lens + flash=1900+

you see, the difference here is just around RM500 plus( well when you really see it does seem a lot) but still, both are priced almost the same..the most important thing now is that i have to choose wisely. if i dont buy the bowling bag and the spare ball,i wont develop my "game" so to say.If i dont buy the lens+flash,i wont be able to take beautiful pictures to be saved as memories..im beginning to think that im makung this problem even more harder by bringing up details so for right now,im not buying anything unless..lets keep it open for now.

cya!

Philosophy..does it suck?

Hi..

not really in a "blogging" mood but i just went through one class of philosophy and it was torture!! well not exactly torture but thinking too much should be the crime of the century.some might not agree with me on this but what is the point of knowing everything? is there no left for the curiosity? i believe that there is no fun in knowing everything but knowing at least something is better than knowing nothing at all..you know what i mean? if you haven't really grasped what philosophy really is, its actually about knowing the why..as for my subject,it relates to knowing everything about the concept of religion such as why is there a god,how can you prove the existence of god,why is there evil, why is there freewill and so on..it might seem interesting to know about these things but when its time for you to really solve these questions, then it becomes a problem. I'm not saying that its bad to learn philosophy but I'm just saying that philosophy is somewhat challenging your mind..and if you do know me,I'm the type that doesn't think much..

there are plenty of good that can come out of learning the philosophy of something and you could cancel out the "not-so-good" of it.for me,i like knowing more about it but sometimes i do hate when it becomes confusing..its only a matter of time before i could understand fully but as of now I'm struggling.but the funny thing is with us Malays is that we dont usually challenge our minds much and that is what i want to get out of..i want to be out of the "typical Malay" that doesn't say much about something and do as they are told.i mean you are made to agree with something even though there is a slight chance that you might disagree with it.its funny to see those kind of things when a lecturer asks if all of us understand and nobody raises their hand but in the end they don't understand even a word of the lecture..that's what i find funny.

Love triangles

Hey everyone..

a sad day as always and not to mention an unproductive day without any activities.just being a couch potato all day.its not that often that im energetic on a holiday but this time its different.i kept thinking to myself the signs people give out ot others.you know what im saying when you see that someone smiling at you at some taxi stand and immediately you would think that she is flirting with you or she's interested in you.wouldnt you?

some of you might say otherwise but its true.people tend to think that something as little as a smile might not be taken wrongly so if you do, you are damn wrong my friend!

we humans are sometimes "perasaan" in some ways where we think that something is done to you but infact it isnt.i mean a girl mightsmile at you but maybe its just a sign of friendship or kindness.im not suggesting that we be make a serious face each time we bump into each other but keep it on a minimal.meaning that dont give out signs that might be taken wrongly by the other person.im not a love doctor( well, not even a M.D doctor) but let me tell you something, saying that you are destined to be with each other doesnt mean that its a done deal.let me break it down..i was meant to be with my lecturer but that doesnt mean that im going to fall in love with him/her,s oif you do hear someone say that, dont start jumping out of the building just yet.keep waiting until they say that they cant live with you or they are begging for your love..then you jump.Until then, keep crying yourself to sleep holding their pictures..otey?

keep it cool.love,Funnyguy

how can we relate to that?

Hello my fellow readers..

first and foremost i would like to wish to all of you a prosperous  new year.there is one thing that i keep thinking for months now. as you have known that the people of the United States has made history by electing their first African-American President.this is what puzzles me until this day.i recall that right after President Obama was elected as the new president-elect,i noticed that some of my friends on facebook became a fan of "change" by Obama..its not usual for someone to see that someone that has no relation with a certain country feels like he/she has made a change.i mean its really funny that someone supporting Barrack Obama but does not even have a slightest idea what Obama Brings to the world.I'm not against Obama but I'm not a fan of "blind followers" and i should say that i hate when people follow something without knowing the full facts of what they are supporting.

its not just about Obama but you can see that the campaign to boycott Israel. Muslims around the world protest about boycotting brands or products that have a connection with Israel. i often ask myself"where are the facts?" and often i get pamphlets regarding this matter but not often i get the facts of this(but thankfully due to my persistence i have found the facts)..the problem here is that people are not thinking the rationality behind their stands.the example of Obama is clear.from what i observed throughout the election of  the US  is that there is a wide acceptance of Obama among the US celebrities and this is what i think is the reason for people who have no relation to the United States i.e people of the world, think that Obama is the best candidate.this is what I'm not comfortable with, the idea of the US controlling the political world just through its president. the power of the US is frightening that it can stop the tracks of the world for their election. going back to the Israel boycott, ask a protester the reason behind their boycott of course they will say that the certain brands have a track record of supporting Israel but when you ask for the facts they cannot give it.why?because  they follow what they think is right.I'm not saying that this is totally wrong but its better if we know the reasons behind it to throw out any doubts.i am going to confess that i do have doubts about these boycotts at first but knowing the facts makes it a more informed decision. for the support of Obama, personally,i think that Obama is a great speaker and he is influential in his approach. i have my reasons for supporting him is not in terms of his political promises but his personality.he is a peoples' person.I'm still puzzled on why my friends support Obama but my hypothesis is because Obama is popular among celebrities and almost all people.

until im proven wrong, that is my stand
